We also process uploaded audio and video files, generated transcripts, captions, meeting notes, detected language, processing status, exports, and usage records such as upload counts and file metadata.

How We Use Data

We use your data to create and manage your account, authenticate sessions, process uploads, generate transcripts and meeting notes, enforce plan limits, support billing, troubleshoot errors, prevent abuse, and improve reliability.

AI Processing Providers

BriefMeet sends prepared audio or video-derived audio to OpenAI for transcription. When AI meeting analysis is enabled, transcript text may be sent to Google Gemini to generate summaries, key points, decisions, and follow-up notes.

These providers process data so BriefMeet can provide transcription and analysis features. Do not upload recordings unless you have the rights and permissions needed for that processing.

Storage and Retention

Uploaded files, transcripts, segments, notes, and account records are stored in the BriefMeet application environment so you can review, export, and manage them. Retention may vary by account settings, operational needs, or future media-retention rules.

Deletion

You can delete uploaded media items from your dashboard. Deletion removes the selected item from your workspace according to the application's current deletion workflow.

Cookies and Authentication

BriefMeet uses authentication cookies to keep you signed in, protect private pages, and reject stale sessions after password changes. We may use essential cookies and logs needed to operate the service.

Billing

Paid checkout and subscription handling may be processed by Lemon Squeezy. BriefMeet stores the account-level plan state needed to activate features after payment.

User Rights

You may ask us to help access, correct, export, or delete account information where available and appropriate. Some records may need to be retained for security, billing, abuse prevention, or legal reasons.
